“This group is the most I speak in school. . ”

During the last 12 weeks, Avenue’s Cashback team has been heading up to Fraserburgh Academy to deliver creative art sessions to young people there. In this time, the individuals in the group learned how to gelli print, screen print, spray paint etc and got to experience using these techniques to create some amazing artwork. These sessions were carefully put together by the Creative Practitioners to explore a whole range of different art techniques and skills the young people could learn and use themselves, as well as making them feel comfortable to step out their comfort zone and try something new. Every young person within this group really enjoyed art and always came in with new drawings they just finished, so helping them be able to explore emotions through art was helpful so they can use it as part of their everyday lives. 

A huge thank you to Fraserburgh Academy for letting Avenue come work with you, and a massive thank you to all the participants who turned up eager every week and made it super fun for us. We hope to come back again soon!
