Avenue is a charity and we work hard to keep our fees as low as we can so that anyone who needs our support can access our services. Please get in touch if you are not able to access Legal Aid, live in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire or Moray, and you are on benefits or a low income. We will be happy to have a confidential conversation with you regarding an individualised payment plan. In some cases, we may be able to offer free or reduced cost services thanks to the support of a range of generous funders.
We are an independent charity based in Aberdeen, Elgin and Peterhead, and we are a member of Relationships Scotland, an Organisation based in Edinburgh which is made up of 21 local Services, like us. We:
- face all the normal overheads of any business,
- invest heavily in our premises to continuously improve our facilities,
- continuously invest in resources, toys and equipment to improve families’ experiences,
- continuously invest in training and expanding our practitioner-base and workforce to maintain the highest of practice standards.
IT COSTS US ON AVERAGE OVER £100 TO DELIVER EACH APPOINTMENT FOR YOU (THIS VARIES FROM SERVICE TO SERVICE) AS A CHARITY WE SEEK FUNDING TO REDUCE THESE COSTS AS FAR AS POSSIBLE.
The prices displayed below are those payable by service users.
Payment is due 48 hours in advance of each appointment taking place, unless booked within this time period in which case payment is due immediately. Cancellation fees may apply. Set up fees are non-refundable.
FAMILY MEDIATION
£30 per adult initial set up fee.
Family Mediation costs £52.60 per person per session.
You may be able to get Legal Aid to help you to pay for Family Mediation. You should speak to your solicitor or to Citizens Advice in the first instance about this.
FAMILY TIME
You may be able to get Legal Aid to help you to pay for Family Time. You should speak to your solicitor or to Citizens Advice in the first instance about this.
Supervised Time
£30 per adult initial set up fee.
Supervised Time intake appointment £150 (£30 fee for each additional adult attending session)
Further intake and Supervised Time session costs £100 per hour (up to a maximum of 2 hours) thereafter.
Supported Time
£30 per adult initial set up fee.
Supported Time intake appointment £150 (£30 fee for each additional adult attending session)
Supported Time Session costs £50 per hour thereafter.
Handover
£30 per adult initial set up fee.
Handover intake appointments £150 (£30 fee for each additional adult attending session)
Each Handover session costs £50 thereafter.
Message Box
£30 per adult initial set up fee.
Message Box intake meetings is £150.
The monthly fee for Message Box is £20, which includes a maximum of 2 messages per week from both parents and child(ren).
Reports on Family Time (all types)
A Family Time Report covering up to 6 sessions, or 6 weeks of Message Box, costs £150.
Additional sessions, or weeks, included in the report cost £35 each.
PARENTING APART
£30 per adult initial set up fee.
Individual Parenting Apart session cost £60 thereafter.
You may be able to get Legal Aid to help you to pay for this, and you should speak to your solicitor or to Citizens Advice in the first instance about this.
COUPLES COUNSELLING
£30 per adult initial set up fee.
£65 per joint session thereafter.
£55 per individual session thereafter.
Please be aware that we can only offer Couple Counselling if at least one person per couple live in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire or Moray.
INDIVIDUAL COUNSELLING
£30 per adult initial set up fee.
Each session costs £45 thereafter.
Please be aware that we can only offer Counselling to people who live in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire or Moray.
COGNITIVE BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY
£30 per adult initial set up fee.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy £60 per session thereafter.
Please be aware that we can only offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to people who live in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire or Moray.
SEXUAL THERAPIES
£30 per adult initial set up fee.
£70 per individual session thereafter.
£85 per joint couples session thereafter.
Please be aware that we can only offer Sexual Therapies to people who live in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire or Moray.
CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE’S COUNSELLING
Children and Young People’s Counselling is free if you live in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire or Moray.
£30 per adult initial set up fee.
Please be aware that we can only offer Children and Young People’s Counselling to children who live in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire or Moray.
PLAY THERAPY
Play Therapy is free for primary-aged children who live in Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire.
£30 per adult initial set up fee.
Please be aware that we can only offer Play Therapy to children who live in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire or Moray, and as this is a face-to-face only service it can only currently be delivered in Aberdeen.
