“I’ve been really looking forward to this all week!” 

“My mum is really proud of all the things I have made.” 

At the beginning of 2024 we started a 12-week project at the Family Resource Centre in Inverurie. Our young people came and enjoyed a lot of art and pizza during our sessions. Participants got to explore a number of techniques including printmaking, ceramics and painting and play with line and colour. The sessions encouraged the young people to step out of their comfort zone and enjoy venturing into the unknown. This in turn helped them to build confidence and develop new ways in which to express themselves. 

As part of this project the young people learnt about and used screen printing to personalise hoodies. This was a great way for the participants to express their personalities and showcase their artistic talent while also having a keepsake to remember the project.
