Over the past 12 weeks, Avenue’s Cashback team has been running creative art sessions at Lochside Academy. In that time, the young people have produced some brilliant work and picked up a whole mix of new artistic skills. They tried out screen printing, paper marbling, gelli printing, and even worked with clay to make their own projection pals,  small characters designed to remind them of the positive qualities they want to bring into their everyday lives. This activity especially helped create a relaxed space where everyone felt comfortable chatting about their feelings.

Each workshop was put together by our Creative Practitioners to give the group a chance to experiment, get stuck in, and grow both creatively and personally. The young people threw themselves into every activity, often surprising themselves with what they could do once they stepped outside their comfort zone.  It was fantastic to see their skills and confidence grow week by week and to watch their artwork reflect their personalities.
