Quarrier’s Aberdeen (2)
“The art sessions have been really good for him, and I’ve never seen him look forward to anything before, so it’s amazing to see.”
The CashBack Connecting Through Creativity team had an incredible time working with young carers at Quarriers, creating a fun and supportive space to explore creativity and connection. The group got hands-on with a variety of art activities, including printmaking, screen printing, clay work, spray painting, painting, and paper marbling—all while having a great time experimenting and expressing themselves. Beyond the artwork, the sessions became a place for friendships to grow. The young carers shared their experiences, offering each other support and understanding in a way that felt natural and uplifting. Being able to connect with others who truly understood their journey was a huge highlight for the group.
By the end of the project, the group had not only created some amazing artwork but also formed lasting friendships and gained confidence in expressing their thoughts and feelings in a safe, creative space.
