“This star is going to be great my mum will love it”
“I always take pictures of what I’ve made”
We had lots of fun with our group of young people in Fraserburgh They took part in loads of different artistic techniques including printmaking, painting, making our own brushes, book binding, and produced some beautiful ceramics bowls. We looked at how colour and line can be used to create feeling and a different way to express emotion.
The activities were developed to allow the young people to express themselves and build confidence when engaging in art that might otherwise be out of their comfort-zone, showing that there is so many different possibilities that don’t require perfect drawing skills, which is usually a massive barrier. The young people embraced all the different creative processes to successfully produce some lovely pieces of artwork.
