Together with the Fit-Like-Hub, Children First and Kincorth Community Centre we helped the young people create a fantastic mural on the side of the community centre. The two-day project investigated themes of home, what gives you have a sense of belonging within your community and the ownership of space. Finding common themes creating a series of drawings and doodles. These doodles were then used to create a large-scale abstracted piece that could be scaled up for the wall. The second day participants enjoyed scaling up their drawing outline and painting their design. The young people were so proud of their achievements, with lots of lovely comments from passers-by, as soon as they had finished, they asked for more mural painting please.
