Quarrier’s Aberdeen
“All I’ve heard is he loves going, never seen him so happy to go somewhere as much as this before which is absolutely brilliantâ€¯đŸ˜€”
Over our 12-week engagement with the young people at Quarriers we had lots of fun printmaking, painting, making our own brushes, book binding, and even producing beautiful ceramics bowls. We looked at how colour and line can be used to create feeling and a different way to express emotion
The activities were developed to allow the young people to express themselves and build confidence when engaging in art that might otherwise be out of their comfort-zone, showing that there is so many different possibilities that don’t require perfect drawing skills, which is usually a massive barrier. The young people embraced all the creative processes to produce some excellent pieces.
